Description
São Tomé Presidential Election First Round winners markets track the candidate who receives the most valid votes in the July 19, 2026 first round in São Tomé and Príncipe. If no clear majority is declared, the market uses the ranking of valid votes; ties are resolved in favor of the specified election winner. If results are not definitively known by June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, the market settles to "Other". Settlement relies on a consensus of credible reporting, or official São Tomé and Príncipe government results in case of ambiguity.

Rules
First-round presidential elections are scheduled to be held in São Tomé and Príncipe on July 19, 2026, with a potential second round to be scheduled if no candidate receives more than 50% of the valid votes outright. This market will resolve according to the listed candidate who receives the most valid votes in the first round of this election. The named candidates will be primarily ranked by the number of valid votes received in the specified election. If two or more candidates are tied on valid votes, this market will resolve to the winner of the specified election. If the results are not known definitively by June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other". This market will resolve based on the results of this election, as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve solely based on official results as reported by São Tomé and Príncipe government sources.
