Description
World Cup single-match yellow cards record broken? A match in the 2026 FIFA World Cup will reach Yes if 19 or more yellow cards are shown across both teams in any single match, including extra time and penalties. Cards to coaches or technical staff count toward the total, and the record to beat is 18 from Argentina vs. Netherlands (2022). If the World Cup is cancelled, postponed past August 2, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or the outcome cannot be determined within the timeframe, the market resolves to No. Resolution relies on FIFA official information, with credible reporting as a fallback.
